The Bluetooth Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP) is a protocol used between phones and car kits. Car kits use PBAP to download the user’s phone book from the phone to the car kit’s memory. This enables two main use cases; the car kit can display the caller’s name during incoming calls, and the user can use the phone book from the car kit.
